Washington Water is very active in the communities we serve. Below is information on some of the programs we participate in.
Washington Water Scholarship Program
Washington Water has established a scholarship program to assist students residing within one of Washington Water's service areas who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.
For more information or to apply for a scholarship, see the Washington Water Scholarship Program page.
Race for a Soldier (9/24/2017)
The Race For A Soldier — A Gig Harbor Half Marathon which is sponsored and ran by the “Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation” is more than a run through the scenic Pacific Northwest. This is a run for hope, for support, and for a better future for the men and women that serve our country. The race is founded by a brave woman, who lost a brave son, who proudly served our nation. Employees of Washington Water would not miss supporting this event. The water station each year that we set up hands out water as the participants pass by. We applaud all those who work to raise money for this important foundation. See you in September!!

Homeless Backpacks/Bountiful Harvest Auction
Homeless Backpacks is a non-profit 501c3 Corporation committed to ending homelessness, by giving teens the help they need to focus on school, graduate, and become contributing citizens. They provide food for the weekend to homeless teens in Thurston, Mason, and Grays Harbor Counties. Some teens are in government-supported meal programs during the school day, but are on their own on the weekend. Each week, volunteers deliver food bags to local middle and high schools in support of these teens.
In 2016, Washington Water contributed $4,500 to the Auction which is taking place October 22, 2016, in Lacey, Washington.
