Belwood Park: Temporary Service Interruption for Some Customers

Washington Water Service is working to repair a leak today, on December 5, 2025, on the water main that serves its Belwood Park Water System. In order to fix the leak, the full water system has been depressurized, resulting in an outage to the 25 homes/lots highlighted on the map below.

Our crew is onsite completing repairs, and we are hoping to have water service completely restored by the end of the day. Chlorine will be used to sanitize all new plumbing parts and materials. Once repairs are complete, the area will be flushed, and a follow-up bacteriological sample will be collected to confirm that water quality was not affected.

After this work has been completed and water service has been restored to your home, but before using water inside, please run your outside faucet until the water is clear. This is to prevent any discolored water from entering your faucets and fixtures and to evacuate air from your service line.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  Protecting your health and safety is our highest priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our Customer Service Center. We can be reached toll free at (877) 408-4060.
