Southwood Silver Creek Booster Pump Station

Location: 97th Ave. Ct. E Puyallup, WA 98375

Current status: Completed March 2022

Improvements to the Silver Creek station include piping, pumping and electrical work that will enhance the reliability of the larger Southwood System. The primary function of the improvements will allow water from the storage tank to be pumped to a higher pressure zone and augment supply to the eastern portion of the water system. The existing station components (storage tank, groundwater well, iron and manganese treatment, disinfection facilities) will remain operational during and following construction.

Construction will occur in phases, and neighbors can expect periods of no work for weeks at a time. The first phase of the project will include underground pipe, which will requiring trenching within the dog park along the northern boundary of the site. Work area will be temporarily fenced and backfilled at the end of each workday. Restoration of the park surface and permanent fencing will be replaced in kind.

The work is being performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. If necessary, traffic control will be implemented to allow crews to safely work in the area. Emergency vehicle access will be provided throughout all phases of construction. No outages are anticipated for work to be performed. Should any service interruption happen unexpectedly during the project, notices will be hand delivered to affected customers.
