Location: 124th St. NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332
Current status: Completed March 2020
To meet our current and future water needs, Washington Water Service has hired a contractor and we will be drilling a new well to replace our existing Forrest Ridge Well located at 124th Street NW. The new well is one of many that helps to support our customers who receive their water supply from our Peacock Hill Water System, located in Pierce County.
The drilling process will be noisy. The daily work schedule will be from no earlier than 8:00 AM until no later than 6:00 PM, barring emergencies or other time-critical operations. We do not anticipate any work on weekends.
Near the end of the project, it will be necessary to complete a 24-hour long pumping test, which will require working through the night. We are not anticipating any significant noise during the pumping test phase of the project, but there will be site activity continuing through the night.
