Washington Water will be working with a variety of subcontractors to complete a new iron and manganese removal system on the Shorewood site of our Point Evans Water System. This project will begin in November 2024 and be ongoing until July 2025.
The project will be contained within the site property. During construction you will see crews on site and work vehicles moving in and out of the property. You will notice construction noise in the work area while crews are on site each day. Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and should be wrapped up each day by 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, barring any emergencies. Work vehicles and equipment will be parked on-site and will not impact access along 30th St NW; however, residents should plan for extra time and pay attention to where crews are working to allow safe access around the work site. Please avoid the work area when possible.
