Artondale: Notice of interruption of water service for some customers

Washington Water Service is working to repair a leak on the water main that serves some Artondale Water System customers. This requires that we depressurize a section of the water system, resulting in an outage to the 18 homes/lots highlighted on the map below.

Our crew is onsite completing repairs and water service is expected to be completely restored by 3:30 p.m. today. Chlorine will be used to sanitize all new plumbing parts and materials. Once repairs are complete, the area will be flushed, and a follow-up bacteriological sample will be collected to confirm that water quality was not affected.

After this work has been completed and water service has been restored to your home, but before using water inside, please run your outside faucet until the water is clear. This is to prevent any discolored water from entering your faucets and fixtures and to evacuate air from your service line.
