Location: 9th St. Ct. NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335
Current status: Completed December 2021
Due to declining water production, Washington Water Service has hired Charon Drilling to construct a replacement well at the existing Agotaras site. The new well is one of many that helps to support our customers who receive their water supply from our Point Evans Water System, located in Pierce County. Location of the new well has been approved by Tacoma Pierce County Health Department.
All construction activities will be onsite and limited to Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm, and exclude holidays (12/23, 12/24, 1/3). No water service interruption or outages are planned for this well drilling phase. Please be aware that there will be additional traffic and heavy equipment to access the well site. Work will mostly be onsite, behind the property fencing.
Near the end of the project, it will be necessary to complete a 24-hour long pumping test, which will require working through the night. We are not anticipating any significant noise during the pumping test phase of the project, but there will be site activity continuing through the night.
